Ocr Law English Legal System Revision

By examining its origins outside the English legal system, the activities examine how ODR has been identified as essential to the modernisation of the legal system and how it is used. In accordance with the ODR, hyperlinks to video clips are included as a basis for several activities. An in-depth review of the proposals, culminating in an overall analysis, allows learners to identify for themselves the potential benefits and challenges of ODR implementation. This activity, which uses two excerpts from sources, asks learners to consider the implications of using laymen in the criminal justice system. Three points of discussion are identified. Learners are encouraged to agree and/or disagree with the points as they see fit. This deployment guide focuses on supporting learners with Component 1 Section A – the legal system as part of AS and A level legal qualifications. This compulsory section for both qualifications introduces learners to the components of the English legal system and focuses on four key areas: civil courts, criminal courts, legal professions and access to justice. This deployment guide also briefly discusses Section A of Component 3: Introduction to the Nature of Law, which contextualizes many of the topics in Section A of Component 1.

Section A includes: The legal system is a key issue that runs through component 1 and components 2 and 3. Therefore, it is important to ensure that learners have a solid understanding of the processes of the legal system in order to contextualise other topics, particularly substantive areas of law such as crime, tort and contracts. Learners are likely to have some understanding of certain parts of the legal system as they are exposed to the media, social media and perhaps through personal experiences. Learners should be encouraged, as far as ethically possible, to talk about their contact with the legal system during lessons. Due to the complexity of the legal system, there is some overlap between the subjects of the components. Design thinking, i.e. theoretical and abstract thinking, as well as through established decided concepts, is crucial to understanding this component. As the development of law is organic, sometimes slow and sometimes rapid, simultaneous observation of the evolution of issues will be beneficial. In this regard, the A-Level in Law OCR has included new topics such as the study of online dispute resolution and the impact of globalization on the legal profession, as well as other ideas and concepts that are still in their infancy. Learners first consider that the importance of new legal vocabulary is important in the context of the study of law and should be encouraged throughout the course. They then look at completing an N1 application form from the learner`s perspective. Encourage them to fill out one to understand the complexity of the form and its formal nature.

It is therefore important that learners apply this understanding to their knowledge to three specific requirements using the information provided. The final scenario is left without real value to allow learners to identify the value of the claim and then discuss the three claims in the open forum. This activity asks learners to reflect on a particular attitude and opinion regarding the under-representation of women in the legal profession. The activities encourage learners to consider certain key areas, such as the importance of legal “globalization”, how it will affect legal education, and the advantages or disadvantages this entails for our legal profession. Learners should focus on understanding specific legal issues, relevant procedures, justifications, explanations and assessments of issues in the legal system. Since the coverage of the legal system is broad, Level A does not require any prior knowledge of the legal system. This activity serves as an introduction to the three-pronged system of the District Court. There should be a discussion on alternative dispute resolution before asking the questions, but no in-depth knowledge is required at this stage. This second strand, on the evolution of legal services, focuses on discussions and explanatory questions on the effects of globalization.
